<p align="JUSTIFY">The Anglo-Korean Society through the Bursary Committee of the British Association for Korean Studies is offering two £1000 bursaries on a competitive basis to post-graduate students.</p>
<p><strong>2) The British Korean Veterans Association / Samsung Study Year Abroad Bursary</strong><br />

<p align="JUSTIFY">The British Korean Veterans Association through the Bursary Committee of the British Association for Korean Studies is offering bursaries to undergraduate students on programmes of full-time academic study in which the study of the Korean language is an integral part of the programme, and which requires the student to spend a full academic session or part-session in Korea receiving intensive language tuition for the period of stay in Korea.</p>

<p>EAST ASIAN SOCIETIES IN TRANSITION: CHALLENGES AND CONNECTIONS</p>

<p>The International Forum for Contemporary Chinese Studies and the Joint East Asian Studies Conference Committee of the United Kingdom are pleased to announce a joint conference of the Forum and the JEAS Conference Committee to be held at the University of Nottingham from 5 to 7 September, 2013.</p>
<p>The theme of this broad-based conference is ‘East Asian Societies in Transition: Challenges and Connections.’ Panels will be organised on a range of topics within the humanities and social sciences covering both thematic issues across the region and topics particular to individual countries.</p>
<p>Further details on guest speakers and conference charges will follow in due course. At this stage, the Joint Conference Organising Committee invites panel proposals and individual paper submissions. Proposals of 200 to 300 words should be submitted electronically by 31 March, 2013 to:</p>
