The School of Languages and Global Studies at the University of Central Lancashire wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Korean Studies to play a key role in the development of this fast growing subject within the portfolio of the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in International Studies and Languages.

The successful applicant will have a good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and a PhD in a related area of study.

Recent experience of teaching Korean Studies (Social Science/Political Science/International Relations) within Higher Education and curriculum design and development experience in modules in Korean Studies are essential. The post-holder will be able to demonstrate evidence of scholarship via Korean Studies publications in a Social Science discipline. They should have an excellent record of working as part of an academic team, native/near-native competence in English and Korean and an innovative approach to developing teaching methods and materials.
