Non-Tenure Stream Visiting Assistant Professor, East Asian Languages and Literatures 2016-2017

The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a one-year non-tenure stream appointment as (NTS) visiting assistant professor, beginning September, 2016, pending budgetary approval. Areas of teaching and research interest of the successful candidate should include Korean film, modern and contemporary literature, performance, visual studies, and popular culture. Responsibilities will include teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, mentoring students, other normal service duties in the Department, and working with other Asia specialists on campus.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in a relevant area of Korean studies by the start of the appointment and have at least one year of experience teaching at a North American college or university.
