University of Wisconsin-Madison-four positions

After our successful hire of Professor Hieyoon Kim last year, the University of Wisconsin-Madison will continue to build Korea Studies with the following four positions:
1. Assistant Professor, Sociology of Contemporary Korea: Due Oct 31, Tenure-Track Faculty Position in the Department of Sociology and the Department of Asian Languages & Cultures beginning Aug 2019
Areas of sociological research on contemporary Korea are open, but priority will be given to applicants conducting qualitative research in the areas of gender, sexuality, family, labor, migration, political economy, or environmental issues. This position is part of a UW-Madison Cluster Hiring Initiative on the theme of “Rethinking East Asia and the World: Politics, Education, and Society.”
2. Assistant Director and Head Instructor, Korean Flagship Program: Due Oct 31, Full-time Academic Staff position beginning Jan 2019 (if possible)
The Korean Flagship Assistant Director will develop and teach proficiency-based Korean language courses, oversee the Korean Flagship tutoring program, direct the intensive Korean summer program, and provide advising and mentoring for Korean Flagship students. 
3. Program Coordinator, Korean Flagship Program: Due Sept 26, now closed, Full-time Academic Staff position beginning Nov 2018
4. Lecturer in Korean Language, Department of Asian Languages & Cultures: TBA, Full-time Academic Staff position beginning Aug 2019
